Trand has been lifting the Heartland since 1990. What began with nine oilfield rig-up trucks is now a fleet of Liebherr giants and a crew that treats every pick like their own name is on the hook. Because it is.
We were the first company in the United States to own sister Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 cranes, and the first to own the Liebherr LG 1750 lattice boom. Today that fleet works wind farms, gas plants, refineries and job sites across the Midwest.

The Liebherr LG 1800-1.0 is the newest member of our fleet. Before delivery, Terry Arnett and Andrea Patterson met with the factory several times and suggested changes that make her work more easily in the USA. She is the Mother of All Cranes, and she is one bad mother.

From wind farms to co-ops, Trand supports the people who build and power the Midwest. Our crews have worked on hospitals, ballparks, schools and plant expansions, and we provide crane support for turnarounds at gas plants and refineries.
Andrea Patterson tells how nine rig-up trucks in 1990 became one of the most capable heavy-lift fleets in the country.
Terry & Sandra Arnett start Trand in May, named for their daughters, with nine rig-up trucks moving drilling rigs across Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.
After adding long-haul flatbed in 1991, Trand buys double drop trailers for oversize and overweight loads.
The first crane joins, followed over the years by 30, 70, 90, 275 and 550 ton machines.
Land and buildings at 40216 N Hwy 281 are purchased and renovated, and Trand focuses on crane services.
A 900-ton Liebherr joins the fleet, only the 3rd of its kind in the United States.
A second LTM 1750-9.1 makes Trand the first company in the U.S. to own sister cranes of this type.
Trand becomes the first U.S. owner of the Liebherr LG 1750 lattice boom, fully outfitted with every configuration.
